A-Product Management
This course represents an introduction to product management tools in particular for design oriented business and global contemporary markets. Participants will review the essential of product life cycle, from the product conception till its distribution management and its final revision or substitution, passing through all the main steps which bring the product from manufacturer to consumer. In particular, the subject will deal with themes related to the coordination of those different professionals and experts involved in the many phases of product management as, for instance, marketing, design (both in its creativity and technical management aspect), manufacturing, distribution, communication, promotion and market benchmarking. This course is intended as the first part of an ideal path continuing with Course B. (Design Management).
B-Design Management
This course is the ideal continuation of the previous Course A. (Product Management). It provides a focus on themes related to creative resources management during design phases and product life cycle. Participants will assist to the presentation of theoretical basis and case histories regarding techniques of relationship management with product or communication designers, with particular attention to scouting, briefing, project supervision and coordination of freelance and in house technicians. International and European market different creative consultant approaches will be presented and discussed. C-Basic Furniture Design
Basic Furniture Design course is designed for those who want to learn the essential of methodologies involved in these kind of projects. Participants will overview themes connected to linguistic evolutions, cool hunting and material trends in Europe and abroad and will face advanced techniques to define a new proposal in coherence with the target market and the manufacturer’s brand value and identity. Moreover, presentation tools and techniques will be presented together with the main aspects of the designer-manufacturer relationship. This course is intended as the first part of an ideal path continuing with Course D. (Model Making Basics). D-Model Making Basics
This course represents the ideal continuation of the previous Course C. (Basic Furniture Design). It is intended to provide an overview and the essential tools to get to the professional realization of furniture or household accessory maquettes. The course is divided in a brief theoretical introduction and practice time in real manufacturer workshops. In particular, the main differences between maquette and prototype will be presented together with the assessment of the opportunities to adopt different techniques in relation to different project features.
E-Basic Graphic
The course deals with the basic theory and practice of Graphic Design, with specific focus on the most diffuse Design methodologies and applied tools. The objective is to provide a complete overview of the graphic material design process, starting from the design brief to its conceptualization, developing the layout and ending with its production.This course is intended as the first part of an ideal path continuing with Course F. (Basic Communication Strategy).
F-Basic Communication Strategy
This course represents the ideal continuation of the previous Course E. (Basic Graphic) and provides an introduction to corporate communication design. There will be presented themes related to basics of communication and marketing. There will be discussed the fundamental aspects of a campaign management in particular regarding benchmarking, tools/actions assessment and most effective scheduling with a target, context and stakeholders oriented strategy.
